The 300,00 SF LEED Gold Army National Guard Readiness Center design solution grew out of an innovative set of responses to the need to house a large and technically demanding program on a site with severe site force protection setback requirements. A five-story 100,000SF triangular crystalline tower appears to rise out of the landscape, which enfolds 150,000SF of highly secure spaces below grade. The iconography of the solution makes reference to the Minuteman- an icon of the National Guard- projecting a bold and dynamic image of movement forward to a single point of national resolve.
